About the PTA
The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. The Washington Elementary PTA is a great way to get involved in your child's school. By joining the PTA, you have a chance to voice your ideas about school business, meet other parents and teachers, build rapport, make friends, and develop further relationships within the community.

Tap into a Network: Parenting is not easy - it helps to share ideas, concerns, and experiences with other parents and educators in our community. Washington's PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport, make friends, and develop further relationships within the community.
Speak Up: Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. The PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at the school
Be a Role Model: By becoming a PTA member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
